Storytelling

Who doesn't love a good movie? One that reels you in from the start and keeps you on the edge of your seat. When I think of these things, I think of  horror or suspense film. The movie "Don't Breathe" was released in August 26, 2016. Written and directed by Fede Alvarez. The movie is about three young teens who are in some troubles and will do anything they can to make some quick cash. They turn to stealing. Robbing others of their own belongings. One day, their prayers are answered when they come across this old man who is blind with a lump sum of cash inside his house. How easy right? Who couldn't successfully rob a blind man. The challenge they are about to face will be the hardest one yet. Someone will not make it out alive. They will find themselves trapped inside and fighting for their lives. As you will see in the trailor, it has a great hook. The movie starts out with movement.  This brings action to the viewers. It grasps your attention from the minute it comes on the screen. It also establishes the setting. It presents itself with a dilemma and shows the viewers what they are trying to accomplish, and how the might go about doing so. Once these points have been made in the first scenes shown, your viewers will be tied in and won't budge!

  1. This is definitely a movie with a great hook! Too bad I am scared to death of "suspense" movies.
